CommDe Talk Series: Bridging Art and Science CommDe is pleased to announce a public talk by artist Maurizio Martinucci (aka TeZ). Tez is an Italian interdisciplinary artist and independent researcher, living and working in Amsterdam, who has collaborated with, amongst others, Adi Newton, Scanner, Kim Cascone, Saverio Evangelista, Taylor Deupree, Sonia Cillari, Chris Salter, Honor Harger, Luca Spagnoletti and Domenico Sciajno.

Tez is an artist that bridges art and science and uses aesthetic experience as inquiry into technology and how it interfaces with our body and can enhance or shift our perception of the world around us.
TeZ is also the brainfather of the 'Optofonica' platform for Synesthetic Art-Science, located in Amsterdam.

This talk is open to the public, all are welcome!

งานของ TeZ เชื่อมโยงศิลปะเข้ากับวิทยาศาสตร์ และใช้สุนทรียภาพในฐานะวิธีการตรวจสอบเทคโนโลยี ว่าเชื่อมโยงกับร่างกายคนเราอย่างไร กับเทคโนโลยีจะเพิ่มความสามารถหรือแปรเปลี่ยนการรับรู้โลกของคนเราได้อย่างไร

TeZ ใช้เทคโนโลยีเป็นเครื่องมือสำรวจผลต่อการรับรู้

CommDe Talk Series CommDe is pleased to announce a public talk by illustrators and artists Jakob Hinrichs and Katia Fouquet. Both are internationally recognized illustrators who have been commissioned by numerous publications. Hinrichs and Fouquet,each in their own way, produce quirky, striking off the wall imagery. Both are co-founders of the artist run illustration agency Bellevue.

The talk is open to the public and all are welcome and encouraged to join!

Due to Kritsana: An Investigation into the History of Design through Etiquette Manuals
Assistant Professor Dr Juthamas Tangsantikul from CommDe Chula has been invited by the Department of History, Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University, to present and discuss her latest research which was recently published in the Journal of Southeast Asian Studies. The talk will be held between 13.30 - 16.00 pm on 20 February 2017 at Room 708, Baromrachakumari Building. Please contact 02 218 4672 for more information. Free Admission.

Speaker Bio: Assistant Professor Dr Juthamas Tangsantikul lectures design at the Department of Industrial Design, Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University. She is one of the founders of CommDe Chula and has been the Programme Director from 2009-2014. Her research interests include Design History, Everyday Life and History of Manners in Thailand. Dr Juthamas is now heading the team to develop a graduate programme (MA/PhD) for CommDe.

An Open Session to Visual Narrative
An Open Session to Visual Narrative Eva Cordon, who is a recipient of the Erasmus scholarship from Luca School of Arts, Brussels will be here on campus to give a talk on visual narrative..

Ephameron (Eva Cardon, °1979) graduated in Fine Arts and Illustrative Design, and currently teaches at two art colleges in Belgium while working on her PhD in the Visual Arts. Her narrative work explores a sensitive side of the world, where the small and intimate dramas of life are documented.

She has published her illustrations in many newspapers and magazines like the New York Times, De Standaard, De Tijd and Knack Weekend. She also curates and participates in group and solo shows all over the world. Her latest book Wij Twee Samen won the Cutting Edge Award 2016 for best graphic novel.
